Flounder And Bulls

Event Start Date: 2022/12/08

2022/12/08

We enjoyed beautiful water and weather all week. The water temperature warmed from 63.1 to 68.4 degrees. Flounder was the main catches for the week with a few Octopus and a couple of Bull Red Drum as well. Small Cigar minnows were plentiful most of the time.

The Flounder bite was better in the morning but picked back up late afternoon until sunset. Bull minnows and small live Cigar minnows were the choice bait. A few fish were caught on jigs, but a majority were off a “Carolina rig”. A majority of the fish were just short of the 14-inch minimum but  good numbers of fish qualified for an invite to dinner. I only got a few pictures but here is Rusty, Von, Nory and Iaquang with some of their fish:

Thursday was our best day of the week. Along with Flounder and Octopus, George and I tied into a couple of Bull Reds. Both fish ate live Cigar minnows and put up quite a battle. My fish was 38 inches and very fat. George’s fish also was 38 inches. His fish was landed on 10 pound test line.
